Residents of Kesses in Uasin Gishu have been left tongues wagging after it was revealed that Dr Kiprop Mishra faked an attack on him.
On Tuesday morning, a section of the media reported that Dr Mishra who is eyeing the Kesses parliamentary seat had been admitted at Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret Town after he was attacked on by people said to be his rival’s supporters.
Dr Mishra is the owner and proprietor of Mediheal Group of Hospitals with its base in Eldoret Town.
The media reported that Dr Mishra was holding a meeting at Royalton hotel, according to his team, when he was accosted by a charged crowd who were said to be campaigning for Allan Kosgey.
To the best knowledge of many people, #TeamAllan has been using the venue to organise their strategy meetings every morning before they embark on the campaign trail.
Kenyans have questioned Dr Mishra’s move to abandon his campaign secretariat located less than 200 metres from Royalton Hotel and chose to hold a meeting at the hotel yet he knows so well that Mr Kosgey has been using it for the last one month.
Mrs Ruth Cheptoo one of Mr Kosgey’s supporters distanced themselves from the incident claiming that Dr Mishra was the one who stormed the hotel where they were having a meeting to strategize for the day leading to the confrontation.
“Dr Mishra stormed the venue of our meeting which irked our members who asked him to leave but his security team confronted our members leading to the incident,” said Ms Ruth Cheptoo.
During the melee, one of Mr Kosgey’s campaign state of the art SUV car was badly damaged and a number of his supporters sustained injuries.
Mr Kosgey was not present during the confrontation.
